Realme X was first released in China this year in May. Price in India might be under Rs 18000.

Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has confirmed on Twitter that the company will be releasing its latest smartphone Realme X in India. He also revealed that the Naoto Fukasawa Onion & Garlic design edition will be available for Indian users as well. Sheth has changed his twitter name to “Madhav X”, teasing the phone’s impending arrival. The release date has not yet been disclosed.

The China version is available in three variants; 4 and 6 GB RAM with 64 GB internal storage each and 8 GB RAM with 128 GB internal storage. It has a big 6.53-inch AMOLED display with a 91.2 percent screen-to-body ratio, Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC processor, in-display fingerprint scanner and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. With a 48 +5-megapixel rear camera, the phone comes with a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera, which is the first time for a Realme smartphone in India.

The phone uses a 3,765mAh battery with a USB Type-C charging port and also supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging. It runs on Android 9 Pie with Colour OS 6. CEO Madhav Sheth had earlier mentioned that the phone will have somewhat different specifications and features for the India version and the expected price is to be around Rs. 18,000. It will be taking on the Redmi Note 7 pro.
