Finally, Article 15 has been released in cinemas but failed to create a huge buzz at its opening day as the film failed to reach the expectations of a section of audience and film critics.
Article 15 collected 4-5 crores on its opening day and surpassed the opening day collection of Ayushamann Khurana’s previous film Andhadhun which collected 2.70 crores on its opening day.
On the other hand, Kabir Singh is giving a tough competition to Article 15 as Kabir Singh has managed to grab the attention of the audience in its 2nd week with a tremendous collection as the film refuses to slow down in its 2nd week.
The basic motive of the film ” Article 15″ is to aware people about the article 15 of our constitution. This film is less entertaining and has a dark storyline due to which it failed to grab the attention of the audience.
Film critic Rohit Jaiswal tweeted ” Article 15 opens below expectations, film started slowly than during afternoon picked up but started to fall during evening and night shows.”
#Article15 opens below expectations, film started slowly then during afternoon picked up but started to fall during evening and night shows…
Overall a below average opening …

This movie is based on Article 15 of the Constitution of India which prohibits the discrimination against any citizen on grounds only of religion, race, caste, sex, place of birth or any of them.
The movie also showcases how the lower caste people are not allowed to demand increment in their wages, and their status is only what the upper caste considers to fit for them.
As Ayushmann Khurana’s previous films like Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho did wonders at the box office. So it is expected that this film will do at least a decent business at the box office.
