The Television actress who was last seen in Ishqbaaz essaying the role of the female lead ‘Annika’ is all set to start shooting for her next show. Her upcoming show will be the remake of medical drama Sanjeevani which featured Gurdeep Kohli, Mihir Mishra, Rupali Ganguly, and Mohnish Behl in significant roles in its first part.
The show which began in 2002 ran aired for three years till 2005 on Star Plus. The daily soap revolved around the story of four interns: Dr. Juhi Singh, Dr. Rahul Mehra, Dr. Simran Chopra, and Dr. Omi Joshi who constantly battle against diseases and deaths of their patients and trying to maintain an equilibrium between their professional and personal life.
The show also had its sequel made in 2007 which ran for three long years till 2010. The sequel was titled as ‘Dil Mil Gaye’ which was aired on Star One starred Karan Singh Grover, Jennifer Winget, Karan Wahi, Shilpa Shukla, and Mohnish Behl among others.
Now, the team has again decided to make its remake where they are planning to cast Namit Khanna alongside Ishqbaaz actress Surbhi Chandna. The makers of the show have decided to start shooting for the show by May and launch it by June this year.
On the other side, Gurdeep Kohli and Mohnish Behl are also there among the cast. Though, there is no official confirmation regarding the time slot and the channel on which the show is going to be aired as of yet.
