Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Kalank’ is scheduled for release on this Wednesday. The film is expected to be Dharma Productions Next Blockbuster after ‘Kesari’. The film Kesari which has recently crossed around 150 crores, is expected to face tough competition ahead from Karan Johar’s next ,’Kalank’.
While the whole cast is busy in promoting the film in every nuke and cranny, it appears The Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt is missing. Although, each and every actor has been found promoting their upcoming film from Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan to Sonakshi Sinha. However, Sanjay Dutt was not even present at the trailer launch.
As per the latest reports, the actor says that at the very beginning of the film he signed a contract with the director where he mentioned that he will not accompany the cast in any of the promotional events. Further, the actor states the main reason behind it being that he will be essaying a supporting role and will not be seen playing in the leads.
On the other side, the whole cast is quite busy in the promotional events as of now. Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha along with Aditya Roy Kapur have already traveled different cities from Delhi to Jaipur to Jalandhar and tried their best to promote it as far as possible.
The Multi Starrer casts Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor, and Sonakshi Sinha. The film appears to be the grandest affair of the Bollywood. The film is set in 1940’s arena and revolves around the historical period.
The film has been in news constantly because of its melodious songs, eye pleasing trailer and of course, the set which has a net worth of around 10-15 crores. According to the reports, Amrita Makai Mahal has helped in the designing of the set which is built somewhat like old Delhi Mohalla.
It is said that it was Karan’s father wish to produce this film and that’s is why it is believed to be much closer to Karan’s heart. The film is scheduled to hit the theatres on 17th April 2019.
