We make paneer curry at home very often but paneer tikka is something which needs to be cooked perfectly to give a feel of heaven in the mouth. Here is the recipe to make paneer’s most common yet most delicious dish at home.

Paneer Tikka Masala :

Ingredients: Paneer Tikka

  • 3/4th cup curd
  • 1 tsp. gram flour (Besan)
  • 1 tsp. ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp. chilly powder
  • 1⁄4 tsp. turmeric
  • 1⁄2 tsp. garam masala
  • 1⁄4 tsp. cumin powder
  • 1 tsp. kasuri methi
  • 1tsp. lemon juice
  • 3 tsp. oil
  • 1⁄2 tsp. salt
  • Half capsicum
  • Half onion
  • 12-15 Paneer cubes

Method:

First of all, take a bowl and add curd in it. Now add gram flour and all the spices in and mix it well to make a thick paste. Cut the vegetables in big pieces and add them in the paste with lemon juice and 1 tsp oil. Hence the coating for paneer tikka is ready.

Lastly, add paneer cubes in the paste and gently coat them with the paste fully. Take a nonstick pan and pour 2 tsp oil on it. while it heats, put the mixture coated paneer cubes in the pan and let them roast uniformly.

Fry them till they become golden brown and crispy. Your paneer tikka is ready. Now take the cubes out and put them aside. Finally, its time to prepare the gravy for paneer tikka masala.

Ingredients: Paneer tikka masala

  • 2 tsp. butter
  • 1-2 bay leaf
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1⁄4 tsp. turmeric
  • 1 tsp. chilly powder
  • half tsp. coriander powder
  • 1⁄4 tsp. cumin powder
  • 1⁄4 tsp. garam masala
  • 1⁄2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • half cup cashew paste
  • 1 cup of water

Method:

Again take a nonstick pan, add butter to it and fry the bay leaf in it to give an aromatic smell. Similarly, add chopped onion and saute well till it turns golden brown. Likewise, add all the spices and ginger paste and saute again at low flame for 2-3 minutes.

Now add tomato puree in the pan and mix it well. Further, add cashew paste and leftover marinated mixture. Keep stirring due to which it will become a thick paste and oil will separate, now add water in it to adjust the consistency.

Therefore, at last, add the paneer tikka in the gravy and mix it well. Cover the pan and simmer for 10 minutes. Finally, garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot.
